Quest is an AI you hire in Telegram. This page says what we keep about you, what Quest does in your Chrome, who helps us run it, and what you can ask of us.

Messaging Quest, based in Portugal, is the data controller for everything described here. Write to hello@messaging.quest with any question or request.

1. What we keep about you

• Your chat. Your Telegram chat id, the name, username and language Telegram shares with the bot, and every message between you and Quest, both ways. Files you send (a CV, a job post) are read as text and kept with the chat.
• What Quest learns to do the work. The brief about what you offer, its plan, the notes it keeps (what you decided, what worked, facts about you), your answers to the first-day questions, your time zone and your settings.
• The work. The places and people it found, the drafts it wrote, what went up and where, the answers it watched for, the results you or it recorded, and a line for every step it and its team took (kept 14 days). We also keep what each AI call cost, with no message content (kept 30 days).
• Your Chrome connection. A hash of the extension's token, the device name it reports (such as "Chrome on Windows") and when it was last seen.

Legal basis: performing our agreement with you. We do not sell your data or share it for anyone's advertising.

2. What Quest does in your Chrome

The Messaging Quest extension lets Quest read the web in your own Chrome, in a tab group of its own that closes when it is done, in the profile where you installed it, with your logins. It opens only public addresses, at a reader's pace, and at most 400 pages a day. What it reads (page text, posts, comments and their links) comes to us so Quest can do the work. Your passwords and cookies stay in Chrome: the extension never sends them to us.

• Posting and messages. Quest drafts replies, posts and messages and sends them from your own accounts in your Chrome. It asks before it sends until you have approved a few on a platform, and for founders with a settled brief it may post and write on its own. Say "ask me first" at any time and it will ask before each one.
• Quest's tab in your chat. While Quest's tab is in front, the extension can send a picture of that tab to your chat (never one of your tabs, and never a login, mail or bank page). We do not keep these pictures. Turn them off with /screen off.
• Visual controls. When a site hides its controls, Quest can look at a picture of the tab it is working in and click or type there. The pictures go to the AI model so it can see the page; they never include your other tabs, and we do not keep them. It is on unless you turn it off with its switch in the extension.
• Keeping awake. While connected, the extension asks the computer not to sleep. Its switch in the extension turns that off.

3. The people Quest finds

To find people who want what you offer, Quest reads public posts and keeps, for each one it shows you, the person's public handle, the link, a short quote of what they wrote and why it fits. Legal basis: the legitimate interest, yours and ours, in answering people who asked in public. Anyone can ask us at hello@messaging.quest to remove what we hold about them and never to show them to a customer again.

4. Featured cards

Quest is free because makers can pay to show their project to the people on Quest who need it. When Featured cards run, the card you see is chosen by your quest and your answers to the first-day questions. The maker who paid never gets your name, your chat or your answers.

5. If you signed up for our earlier web app

From July to September 2026 Messaging Quest was a web app you signed up for with your email. If you did, we keep your account: your email, whether you confirmed it, the site you gave us and your choice about product news. We do not email you. What that app kept besides (projects, campaigns, the contacts and posts it found) is archived and no longer used. Ask us and we delete your account and everything with it.

6. Who processes it for us

Quest also searches public sources (Hacker News, Stack Exchange, Bluesky, Lemmy, GitHub, Mastodon) with words about what you offer, never with your personal data.

7. Outside the EU

Our database and Quest itself run in the EU. OpenRouter is in the United States, and the model providers it reaches may process data in the United States or China. What goes to them is what Quest needs for a step of the work: your messages, the brief and the pages it read.

8. How long we keep it

We keep your chat and Quest's work while you use Quest. The step log is kept 14 days, the cost records 30 days, and a finished task's working files about an hour. Ask us and we delete your account and everything Quest kept for you.

9. Your rights

You can ask to see what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, receive a copy, restrict how we use it, or object to a use based on legitimate interest. Write to hello@messaging.quest. You can also complain to Portugal's data protection authority, the CNPD (cnpd.pt), or to the authority where you live.

10. This website

This website sets no cookies. To see which parts of it work, it counts visits with PostHog: the page, the site you came from, the links and buttons you click, how far you read, your browser and device type, and your rough location, which PostHog works out from your IP address. Nothing is stored on your device for this, so we can't link one visit to the next, and we never connect it to your Telegram account. If you pick a language, your browser remembers it in its own storage. Vercel, which hosts the site, keeps standard request logs, such as your IP address, to serve and protect it. The video on the home page is served from the site itself, like its pages.

11. Children

Quest is not for anyone under 16.

12. Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. When a change affects what we keep or who sees it, we tell you in the chat.
